WASTEWATER TREATMENT OPERATOR
The Central Iron Range Sanitary Sewer District (CIRSSD) is seeking qualified career- minded mid-level candidates for a permanent full-time WASTEWATER OPERATOR/GENERAL MAINTENANCE position at its award-winning Craig S. Pulford Advance Wastewater Treatment Facility. This position is responsible for planning and conducting general maintenance and mechanical tasks and performing routine operation and laboratory procedures.
The CIRSSD operates, maintains and manages a regional 2.5 MGD Class A Major facility located near Chisholm, Minnesota. The award-winning facility, commissioned in 2013, provides secondary and tertiary treatment for its member communities, Chisholm, Buhl, Kinney, and the Town of Great Scott. The facility consistently meets the stringent effluent limits of the Great Lakes Basin.
The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate maintenance and mechanical aptitude and operational skills commensurate with a Minnesota Class D Certified Operator with the ability to obtain a Class C license within one year of employment. High school diploma or GED required. Demonstrated computer skills, knowledge and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and SCADA systems preferred.
The successful candidate shall become a resident within or in the immediate proximity of the CIRSSD service area. Preemployment drug testing, background check, physical and valid driver's license are mandatory.
