The City of Desloge is accepting applications for a full-time Park Attendant: Park Attendant will work under the supervision of the Parks & Recreation Director, the Park Attendant is responsible for all work at city parks and performing other routine or complex tasks.General responsibilities include: Cutting grass, maintenance of all park buildings, maintenance of all park facilities including, but not limited to, playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts, dog park, etc., maintenance of all ball fields including replacing bases, dragging infields, etc., removal of trash and debris from the parks, maintenance of the pool’s filtration equipment, cleaning the pool, and water treatment of pool.Primarily, hours will be 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, (with minimal weekend cleaning).
Schedule will be flexible to cover weekend cleaning. There could be exceptions for special events in the park and arising emergencies. Wage for this position is $13.00 per hour. The Park Attendant will work in the parks from approximately March-October, then work within the Water Department in the winter from approximately November-February. Hours while in the Water Department will be 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, with the exception of arising emergencies.
