Instructional Technologist

General Note: The Instructional Technologist is responsible for facilitating the use of technology in teaching and learning via expert consulting, training, support, and direct implementation. The Instructional Technologist manages a variety of instructional services and tools to advance teaching and learning. They will suggest effective instructional strategies and offer solutions for delivering course content in traditional and hybrid learning situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred experience in Instructional Design.
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing moderately complex training content and designing training for multiple delivery modalities (traditional classroom, online classroom, etc.)
- Experience supporting and administering at least one Learning Management System (LMS) used in higher education (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Desire2Learn).
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong project management and problem-solving skills, an ability to think innovatively and a customer-centric attitude.
- Has broad knowledge of current instructional technologies and strong interest in new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Salary: $35/per hour
