Northwood Tech has an exciting opportunity for a Health  Sciences Associate. Responsibilities include maintaining  Health Sciences program policy manuals, admission and program documents, accreditation documents, and clinical agency documentation. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with  minimal campus-based duties that necessitate in-person availability approximately twice per semester. 

The Health Sciences Associate provides college-wide administrative support to the Dean, Associate Deans, Program Directors, and Instructors within the Health Sciences cluster.  Responsibilities include maintenance of Health Sciences program policy manuals, admission and program documents, accreditation documents, and clinical agency documentation.  The Health Sciences Associate reports to the Dean of Health Sciences.

Campus-based duties are minimal, requiring in-person availability approximately twice per semester.

Responsibilities

  • Actively embody and promote Northwood Tech’s Values
  • Assist in the administration of health programs by maintaining training agreements and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in ensuring current and newly emerging accreditation standards are maintained and work with Health Sciences program directors and faculty to ensure appropriate information is collected and maintained.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining documents for Health Sciences programs including policy manuals, student handbooks, and student orientation materials.
  • Assist Health Sciences program directors and faculty with web maintenance and updates to documents including for accreditation compliance.
  • Gather, organize, and track program and faculty accreditation requirements.
  • Track professional staff development requests for Health Sciences program faculty and staff.
  • Track major equipment purchases and support supervisor on annual budget and facilities planning for health sciences as determined by supervisor.

Qualifications, Degree & Experience Required:

  • Associate’s degree in related field
  • Three years related work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to effectively apply technology to tasks and projects
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment while maintaining positivity and professionalism
  • Strong customer service skills that focus on creative problem solving
  • Time management skills that apply organization and prioritization demonstrating the ability to multitask and work independently


Salary

  • FY24 Salary - Grade I - $23.14 / hour
