Well established Downtown Insurance Defense law firm has an immediate opening for an experienced Legal Assistant.
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Transcribe dictation and compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex litigation documents as needed Electronic filing in state and federal courts as needed Manage assigned attorneys' calendars, dockets, and appointments Screen incoming calls and correspondence and respond as necessary Maintain and complete attorney monthly time entry and billing Open and maintain client files.
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal. Strong knowledge and experience of state and federal court e-filing procedures, e-discovery, and trial preparation. Ability to handle heavy workloads efficiently and accurately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with attorneys, staff, and clients. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
