Public Works Director
The Town of Winter Park is recruiting a Public Works Director to be part of the Town’s leadership team. Reporting to the Town Manager, the position plans, manages, oversees and directs all Public Works functions as well as the day-to-day operations and services of the Department. The position supervises a department of 15 full-time employees and up to 10 seasonal employees, managing operational budgets of approximately $4M. The FY 23 capital budget is approximately $5M. The individual must have five years of public works experience with at least three years of management experience required. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration or a related field is preferred. Requires a proven track record in project management and strong communication skills with the ability to maintain open communication with staff and the public. The salary range is currently $132,567 - $198,851, with hiring wage dependent on qualifications.
