Adult Behavioral Health

Yamhill County has one regular, full-time position for a Senior Office Specialist to work in the Adult Behavioral Health Division. Duties will include receptionist services, phones, OHP assister help, scheduling client appointments and group rooms, updating clinicians' schedules in the Electronic Health Record system, processing intakes, enrollments, and terminations, managing petty cash and special needs requests, taking meeting minutes, copying, ordering supplies, and relieving supervisors of administrative tasks such as gathering, analyzing, and preparing reports, processing subpoenas, with minimal direction, and other duties as assigned. Some evening and/or weekend work will be required.
The Qualifications:
This position requires one year of clerical or secretarial work experience at a level equivalent to an Office Specialist II. Coursework and training related to the position may substitute for up to six months of experience. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work will be considered. Fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred but is not a requirement. Applicants will be required to pass skills tests including typing, document production, and Spanish (as applicable). Successful completion of a background check is also required.
Special Requirements:
The State of Oregon requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exemption to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exemption prior to their first day of employment. Failure to provide proof of full documentation or receipt of an approved exemption will lead to withdrawal of the job offer.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, and will be flexible and able to learn procedures and computer applications quickly. They must be self-directed, and detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and interact with co-workers and the public in a courteous, professional manner and exhibit excellent communication skills. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel are required.
